The first few weeks with your baby can feel beautifully overwhelming. My hope is that your newborn session becomes one of the rare moments when someone is taking care of you.
Your baby sets the pace. We pause for feedings, cuddles, and diaper changes whenever they're needed. There is no rush—just a calm, thoughtful experience where your family can simply enjoy these tiny first days together.

Your baby doesn't need to do anything but be a baby.
Before your newborn session, we'll talk about the photographs you've been imagining, the colors and textures you love, and the little details you want to remember. I'll take care of the wraps, outfits, props, and carefully designed sets, so you can simply enjoy watching your baby's first portraits come to life.
Sessions are calm, unhurried, and completely baby-led. There's time for feeding, soothing, cuddling, and whatever your little one needs. We follow your baby's lead, allowing time for whatever they need.
And while we'll create the portraits you've been dreaming of, I'll usually have a few artistic ideas of my own. Something a little unexpected, designed just for your baby.
Because these aren't simply photographs of how tiny they were. They're the beginning of a story you'll tell for generations.
You have enough to think about with a new baby. Your portrait session shouldn't be another thing on your to-do list.
We'll begin with a planning conversation about your vision, your favorite colors, and how you'd like to display your portraits. I'll guide you through the decisions, from wardrobe and styling to the little details that make your photographs uniquely yours.
I've been photographing newborns and children throughout Middle Tennessee since 2015. More than a decade of experience has taught me that beautiful newborn portraits begin with patience, flexibility, and a willingness to let babies be babies.
On session day, you don't need to worry about knowing how to pose or whether your baby will cooperate. I'll gently guide you through the experience, making adjustments as we go. Whether we're photographing your baby alone or creating portraits with parents and siblings, there's room for everyone to settle in and feel comfortable.
Afterward, we'll meet to select your favorite images and design the artwork that will live in your home. Beautifully framed portraits, heirloom albums, and archival prints turn those first fleeting days into something you can hold onto.
Planning for a newborn session comes with lots of questions. These guides will help you feel prepared so you can simply enjoy the experience.
The greatest reward in newborn photography is creating something meaningful for the families who trust me with their babies. But it's lovely when the work gets a little recognition, too.
