Children don't need to be good at having their picture taken. They can play, talk, investigate, be shy, be ridiculous, or need a minute. I follow their curiosity instead of forcing perfect poses, because who they are right now is much more interesting than perfect behavior.

Before your session, we'll talk about your child—the things they love, the clothes you adore, and the photographs you've been imagining. Together, we'll plan portraits that feel like *your* child, whether that's a quiet moment, a mischievous grin, or something wonderfully unexpected.
And then I usually have an idea or two of my own.
With custom-designed sets, carefully chosen wardrobe, and a little creative freedom, I'll make something you might never have thought to ask for. Something distinctly Brown Bunny, but unmistakably your child.
Because the best portraits aren't always the ones we planned.

I'll guide them through the experience with games, conversation, and a little creative mischief. After more than 40 years of teaching children to swim, I've learned a thing or two about earning their trust and learning through play.
After your session, we'll choose the images you love and explore ways to turn them into beautiful, archival artwork for your home. From framed portraits to heirloom albums, these are photographs meant to be enjoyed long after the little shoes have been outgrown.
